****Epilogue : The Tyrfing’s
Legend****
There are many
legends and some of them contain a story of legendary weapons. Such as the
saint's sword, Excalibur. Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Zeus's shield, Aegis shield. Hinduism
Sage’s Vajra. The unnamed spear that kill the last dragon. A sword that came out from the ninth tail of a
nine tailed dragon, Totsuka-no-Tsurugi. Even something unthinkable like a bow
that control emotions, Cupid’s Bow, and many more. Each of the legendary
weapons posses a great power and must be wielded by a right person or it will
only make the world into chaos.
Its include
Tyrfing, a cursed yet magical sword that multiply the power of the wielder in
cost of the wielder's life. Tyrfing is made from a magical iron, forged in a
pure magical flame and cursed in a curse of hatred. It's a sword that cannot
rust, sharpest sword ever. It can cut through rock and steel as if it is just a
sheet of cloth. Once this sword pulled out from its scabbard, it will not miss
its aim neither its life. Many have fallen victim to this sword, from a king to
a certain adventurer
Because of its
dangerousness and power God decided to seal the Tyrfing in a place that no one
can take it without permission: Heaven, where the everlasting light shine brightly.
God take the Tyrfing to Heaven then He lift the curse from the sword, leaving
only the good side left on the Tyrfing and blessed it with holy power and make the Tyrfing
harmless. The Tyrfing then placed in a box with an orb to absorb the overwhelming
magical power of the Tyrfing. After sealing the cursed sword, God appointed one
of His servants to watch the sword, a Valkyrie, the Heaven’s Guardian.
God said to the Valkyrie “ This sword will be
once again wielded by human. But, not every man can wield it, he must master
both art of the swordsmanship and art of magic. He must have a strong heart
filled with kindness to the others and wise to the action. He mustn’t thirsty
of power, hungry of fame. If you find that kind of man, test him a difficult test,
and for the final test let him touch the Tyrfing. If the Tyrfing reject him
then, he failed. If he can touch the Tyrfing and wield it like an ordinary
sword then, he pass. If he pass, unseal the Tyrfing and teach him how to use
it.” The Valkyrie bow to accept the order.
To the Tyrfing, God
said “You will be wielded by a kind-hearted man who posses a magical power that
suits you. That person will be your master, until he die. Aid him in battle and
company him in journey. You will not change your master, and for those who want
you for power, fame, and other dark side, if they touch you, curse them with a
harmless curse and return to your rightful master.”
With this, the
Legend of Tyrfing slowly faded away. The Valkyrie searching for the rightful
person to wield the Tyrfing, everyday.
